If you are a victim of sexual trauma - Here's what the TSA has to say

Some time ago, I wrote an article on the effect that TSA procedures may have on victims of sexual trauma. I was looking at the TSA website today for information on updated policies and saw this page:
TSA understands that passengers who are victims of sexual trauma may have concerns about the screening process and may require additional assistance. Accordingly, TSA will make every effort to accommodate a person’s needs; however, to keep us all safe, all travelers must undergo security screening prior to airline travel. More on the subject from TSA.

Hmm, I wonder what specific "assistance" they plan to provide, if someone goes into a flashback or dissociates? Perhaps they plan to keep mental health professionals on staff at airports? :P Sadly, it seems more likely they'd tag the survivor as a trouble-maker - Natalie (practicewisdom.blogspot.com)
